With the Dixing separation, yeah, that's spot on for me. With them meeting again, it's not so much that I mentally add it, it's that I see it implied in what's there.

Huh. That's ... not a thing that happens for me ever. No matter how much I love something exactly as it is, I always want more. (My main fannish impulse is "I love this! Give me more!" Sometimes the thing I love and want more of is the entirety of a canon, sometimes it's the dynamic between two characters, and sometimes it's that one scene in season 4 that really hit me hard, but the impulse is the same.)
