Zhu Yilong did a livestream today to celebrate reaching 20 million followers on weibo today.

I had no trouble watching it. The site was reachable and quite fast and I didn't have to install anything.

Basically he eats hot pot for 45 minutes and answers a few questions (which I didn't understand). I only watched the second half... but he is very cute, as always. *g*

He has been burned by everyone (including his parents) calling his previous livestreams boring - but what do you expect? He is not a very spontaneous person, of course it's going to be boring.

The fact that 13+ million people watched him eat hotpot live. What is his life it must be so weird.

The fact that I am one of them (well, I would have, if I hadn't missed it, but it still feels cool that he did this *today*, I love livestreams), and that I don't care at all, and I could just stare at him doing whatever... that is just as weird. :D

He is the cutest omg. And now I have to go watch the subbed stream, maybe I'll understand a bit more. *G*

I really needed someone to squee over this last night. I was sitting there, grinning and laughing at him doing... nothing? Well, he smiled, which apparently is enough for me.

I am seriously considering making this a watch-along because damn I would watch him smile for 45 minutes again. <3

Zhu Yilong is a legit hotpot expert. He'll ramble on and on about his favorite ingredients, soup bases, the fact that non-spicy hotpot is an abomination. I love him a lot for his enthusiasm (and genuinely useful info).

tbh, i think the enthusiasm is what does it for me. The way he admits he is dieting again (whyyyy? Wasn't Wuxie the illest of half-dying heroes already, how can he want to be thinner than that?) and how he's all excited that he can just have this for once and enjoy his hotpot.

And that he admits that his hands are shaking. He could not possibly be any cuter.
