In other news, I still haven't figured out how to use a cut tag. "I'm not very good with electronics," by Shen Wei.

(Also, I've been very good about reading lots of Guardian fic and terrible about commenting; if you have written something lately or not so lately, I've probably read and enjoyed it!)

Cut tags work like this:

You either just put <cut> before the bit you want to cut-tag, or <cut text="your text here">. (If you just use <cut>, the text defaults to "Read more".) At the end of the bit you want to cut-tag, you put </cut>.

Thank you! :) That's what I did, and then I couldn't see the cut...but it turns out that my Dreamwidth style was automatically opening up the cut for me, so maybe I have achieved it after all. Shen Wei, I got you beat!

The cut will only show on your journal and on people's reading pages, not on the individual entry page. *checks* Yours is working fine! \o/
