I come bearing another long-winded meta
A discussion sparked by Afterwards made me want to write about something that's always given me mixed feelings in show canon, specifically, Shen Wei's choice to give half of his life force to Yunlan. I mostly wondered why he felt he needed to do it, and what the choice meant for Shen Wei as a character. These are just my thoughts - if anyone has anything to share, I'd love to hear it!
