Film studies term needed
Guardian's signature filmic technique is to go back to an already-aired scene and show it from a different angle or over a longer period of time, adding information to make the scene tell a completely different story than it did the first time.
What do filmmakers and film studies people call this technique? There's got to be a name for it.
Non-spoilery discussion at my place.
