It's almost certainly budget issues, but I wish they'd asked the extras to come to set in their most unfashionable, old-timey, mix-and-match clothes, which would at least give some time depth to the clothing and emphasize that it's not Haixing. The biggest problem is that they have enough energy to power electric guitars but not to power eleventy billion LED lights to make the place bright...
