Aww, sorry to bring the hurt! I mean, it doesn't have to mean that? That scene could just be framed in that way to emphasize SW's isolation and the burden of his responsibilities, because a long shot from a high view point like that definitely is meant to draw our attention to all of the open space around SW and highlight how small he seems in the middle of it. But once I had the thought that the concentric stonework looked a lot like rippling waves and then they mentioned bombs, my brain just could not unlink them.
