Oh no, now I'm imagining Zhao Yunlan making a point of calling the Envoy while making eye contact with Shen Wei and hearing the cellphone ring. Then Shen Wei would claim that the Dean was calling him and he had to answer. A cellphone or equivalent would definitely be a good way to get the Envoy onsite and prevent sadfaceness.
