When we first see Da Qing in Ye Olde Haixing Era, how long has he been wandering around looking for Kunlun?

My location votes:

• the SID main office (it's a lovely set and I get irrationally offended on its behalf when Zhao Yunlan talks about getting them new offices, LOL)
• Zhao Yunlan's flat (so full of character in every detail)
• Shen Wei's flat (likewise in a very different way, except alas we see far too little of it; I wish they could have used it more, but they clearly reused the set for Zhao Yunlan's flat)
• the Dixing bar (such a fascinating look into everyday Dixing, which we don't get anywhere else, and I love all the weird little details they put in)

Regarding Da Qing: in the scene, Da Qing gives the impression of having only just been given that mission when he runs into Zhao Yunlan - I don't think it can be more than a few hours. And now that you say it, I think the Envoy must have sent word to Ma Gui and Fu You - that would make sense since some new outsider suddenly turning up in the middle of their war would be something they needed to know, and IMO it's also the only sensible explanation for why they'd send Da Qing out now, as opposed to some earlier point in time after they first skyped with Zhao Yunlan.

Ha, once again I make a poll and immediately vote for "other". *facepalm*

The main room at the SID and ZYL's flat are both my absolutely favourites! I love everything about both of them. I also voted for Shen Wei's office (for all those cosy late-night chats) and the streets of both realms. My "other" is actually multiple outdoor locations: a) the university campus, b) the park, and c) specifically SW & CSZ's meeting place with the circle-paving. <3

ETA: Aaaand now I'm changing my vote to include the Dixing bar (for all the little details), and "other" for the second question (having decided Fu You and Ma Gui were spurred into action by the Skype call).

It looks very accurate to me. As literally as I can render it:

"In the near future, we will communicate across ten thousand years. When that time comes, it [is/will be/was] you who has given us the confidence to persevere with the fight."

(Chinese doesn't have tenses, and in English you have to choose. Fu You talks about the future but uses a particle that indicates something is already done when talking about him giving them confidence.)

I like Zhao Yunlan's flat because it just tells us so much about him as a character. He's a disaster (such a mess) but one who cares (kitty toys and a cat bed swing thing for Da Qing).

I voted for Zhao Yunlan's flat, the SID office, and the bar. All of them for the same reason: The incredible amount of playful detail. Every time I see something I never noticed before.

It seems kinda weird to have Da Qing just wander around all over Haixing hoping to encounter Kunlun, who could appear at any location at any time. I'd like to think they had more specific intel, possibly from Shen Wei.

Definitely Zhao Yunlan's flat. ♡♡♡ It's such a HOME in every way, and the stools for sprawling are A++, and also I love drawing his bed, lol. I could just vote for it alone, but I didn't want to leave out other things. :D :D :D Like the main room at the SID (with the couch that I also got to draw :D), and Shen Wei's office (which I didn't draw yet?, but it has fish and it's so neat and shiny :D), and also the pillar because it's COMPELLING, lol. Oh, and other - the cliff in YOHE (which idk if it counts because it's a natural location) and the little square that Xiao Guo likes (which I guess counts broadly as Dragon City streets, but I'm still singling it out). :D

The second question is SO COOL, I've never wondered about that, and now I'm a big fan of the explanation that he's looking for Shen Wei's benefactor. :D
