Yeah, I think that's the important part. The way I understand it, once someone cultivates out of the three-worms contamination, they become (part) god or some other higher being, and they're no longer (fully) human, just like the animals who cultivated into yao are no longer fully animals. I think all humans who are still humans are contaminated by default.
