I feel like there should be a difference, too. I think that's what I was saying upthread when I said I wished he could "think of it more like an allergy and less like a judgement." But now I think trobadora's right, that there is no way to talk about it like an allergy, because worldbuilding, so I should stop wishing Shen Wei was different, and start wishing the cosmology was. ;-p
