Yeah, same, I can't even word it because it turns into just 'it's all the same, there is no difference', but it still feels like there is a difference? Maybe something like 'this is how you treat people with respect and make them respect you' vs. 'this is how people hint at things that are not necessarily stated out loud'. And he understands the former but not the latter. But that's still not 100% it, and I feel like 'there is actually no difference' is an extremely valid conclusion too. :D
