The fighting got taken out of the official version - GCC thinking about how much he likes the SID is all internal, and it all kinda stops at 'we don't talk about the SID'? I don't remember if this part of the scene got moved somewhere else in this version or if it's just removed completely, but I like it a lot when he gets to fight for what he wants and be convincing about it and win.

Ooooh, such a good question! It kinda all happened at the same time, the creation of the Netherworld and Kunlun's death, didn't it? I have no idea who was already around and who wasn't yet, and if it's mythological or Guardian-specific. (And then there's still so much to come in this volume, which means I have even less of an idea. :P) But if anything the king is at least old enough that the primordial god stuff was still fresh in everyone's mind at that point.

Oh wow, this is such a good idea, I like it a lot! And by 'like' I mean 'this is heartbreaking but also kinda beautiful'. It like he's kinda halfway there - at least wanting to be seen and only then holding back - even if it's a lot more painful than not even wanting it at all.
