I checked and it's volume 2 (chapter 5), in case someone wants to re-read, but yep, this one instance is very telling and powerful to me, I don't think I'd need to see more. It may not be 'activism' but it's definitely fury and revenge, and indeed the opposite of someone who would harm the animal himself.
