This is definitely a good point, ouch. But I didn't really think about the internal prejudices, just about the actions that hurt him. Especially being kept under the seal because of arbitrary rules - I feel like he always knew that he didn't deserve it. (And yeah, the other gui 'deserve it', and it's all super messy and complicated. But I can see him feeling unambiguously wronged by that, and Kunlun was the one who let him out and accepted him, making him the one person who didn't wrong him.)
