this aspect I find even more impressive in the novel because drama SW is just a regular person in the end, with regular (sci-fi) person's struggles, while novel SW is this being who theoretically should never be able to do any of this, and yet he built his entire life and personality with sheer willpower
Yes, 100% agreed! I'm not fond of SW's self-hatred, but I adore his willpower and his determination to be himself, not what his background says he should be.
