On one hand it makes Xiao-Wei into a god, freeing him from what he doesn’t want to be. But he’s also burdening him with a heavy duty, as well as making him a one-of-a-kind chimera that has no peer in this world. I feel like he’s dooming him to a life full of loneliness here, at least metaphorically if not literally.
Yeah, this is what upset ZYL so much, right? It's such an unbearable burden and responsibility to have placed on SW. :-(((
