I have incoherent feelings about Kunlun giving his soul and tendon to the Little Ghost King. On one hand it makes Xiao-Wei into a god, freeing him from what he doesn’t want to be. But he’s also burdening him with a heavy duty, as well as making him a one-of-a-kind chimera that has no peer in this world. I feel like he’s dooming him to a life full of loneliness here, at least metaphorically if not literally.
