But also I feel like that would be in the pining room and somehow displayed as significant, not somewhere random out in the open, especially considering that Shen Wei doesn't seem to have anything out in the open - "The apartment was pristine, but somehow it didn’t quite feel like a home. Looking at the immaculate sofa, Zhao Yunlan almost felt bad for sitting on it." Oh, and I think more importantly - ZYL doesn't mean to just throw things out, he means to throw them out and replace them. So nothing that he's not actively replacing would be getting thrown out - he's not cleaning up the apartment. :)
