Oh, yep, I can totally see that! Well, the same was true for Shen Wei and he did decide to change (before Kunlun did anything for him other than exist in his vicinity), but he is quite sure that without Kunlun this is exactly the kind of life he would be leading too, so yeah, true. I think without enough motivation it's straight-up impossible to break out of that. Like, even if you got the idea that a different way of living exists, which I think most of them just don't, you still would just give up right away because the ~nature~ thing is so strong (still strong for Shen Wei even in the present).
