God, yes. Chatrooms were the bane of my existence. I liked mailing lists better! And they really got confusing when busy. Forums and LJ/DW were and are really ideal to me; I wish they were still popular. So glad I'm not alone with that!
And SEARCHABILITY, OMG. So much!!!!!
