Novel vs Series

I wrote a little thing about Guardian: Novel vs Drama (also up on tumblr), which is basically a discussion of what aspects I liked from the series, despite its many flaws. I'm hoping that it somehow counts as meta, or at least squee, and is therefore relevant to the comm. 

I'd love to hear from everyone what things they liked from the series that they didn't in the novel and vice versa, and what your ideal Guardian would look like.
