For those of you who know due South…Shen Wei doing first-aid on Zhao Yunlan’s scrape made me think of Fraser doing first-aid on Ray Kowalski in the episode “Asylum”.
I don't know Due South, but men tenderly caring for each other's injuries is one of the fastest routes to get me to ship them. This even goes a bit beyond that - multiple instances in this week's chapters of Shen Wei insisting Zhao Yunlan be mindful of his own health, which he is not presently in the habit of doing.
(saw a thread on Twitter once about wound tending in BLs, with the suggestion that a man engaging in care labor is a subversion of gender that appeals to the female gaze...)
