About You
DW username: [personal profile] ranalore
Languages: English, gibberish, Californian, hick, IKEA user manual
Offline location: Northeastern Florida right now, to my everlasting sorrow
Other online locations: [archiveofourown.org profile] ranalore, I still have an LJ but I've ceased crossposting there, and I ported all the old content here when I set up my DW, so it's really just namesquatting, that's it (look, I'm old, okay).
I like: Aaaaaaaaall of it.

Guardian-specific stuff
Drama, novel or both? Drama only, and likely to stay that way, given what little I've heard about the novel sounds like Not My Thing, and I only like plugging in of novelverse canon to dramaverse when it helps make sense of things the drama didn't get to show us.
Fannish about canon, actors, related shows, RPF or some combination of these? Canon, though I have no objection to pretty footage or pictures of the actors, whether as themselves or in other roles, and I'll watch the occasional RPF vid or read fic that's recced by a trusted fic, but I've been burned too hard by RPF before to get really into it, and so far none of their other shows sound like so much my thing as Guardian.
How long have you been in the fandom? ::checks watch:: No, seriously, about a month at this point? Five weeks? Boni might know, it's all her fault.
Where can we find your fanworks, if any: They're all on my DW, and probably all but three are on AO3, I keep forgetting to upload my MCU shorts, and I think I missed a really old one when I was going through my backlog, trying to get the pre-AO3 stuff uploaded.
Other points of interest regarding your Guardian fannishness: I am currently in my honeymoon phase, so it's all Guardian all the time, but my natural bent is more multi-fannish, and I'm likely to calm down and get back to talking about my other fandoms...soonish. It's hard to predict, my honeymoon phases can last a while, sometimes, and Guardian speaks directly to my id in a way that is very, very rare.

Posting habits
How long have you been on Dreamwidth? Where were you before that? I've been on DW since its inception, or shortly thereafter. I got to help them work the bugs out of the tool that transferred one's old posts from LJ to DW, when mine somehow all came over duplicated. Obviously, before that I was on LJ. Before that, mailing lists, including the ancient ones that had to be hosted at places like universities, before there were services like Googlegroups. Before that, bulletin boards, and before that, snailmail newsletters and fanzines. Yep. All you Olds? You are my people.
What do you post about: Guardian, these days, and poetry (National Poetry Month, y'all!). Usually, school (back in for my grad degree), chronic illness and disability, feminism, baking shows (I have celiac disease, but I love watching baking shows), Florida weirdness, Southern California homesickness, dogs, the sea, writing sf/f/h and poetry (I'm a pro writer), writing fanfic, the hot mess of the MCU, the just plain hot of Bucky Barnes, how much I miss my source for my other fandoms (it's all in storage in California), Yuri!!! on Ice now that Boni's got me into that too, the cursed plumbing of my otherwise very nice apartment (I am not even kidding, not a year has gone by without some kind of plumbing catastrophe), and, memorably, hurricane survival, twice.
Your other fandoms include:
Active: Yuri!!! on Ice, MCU (mostly Captain America, mostly Steve/Bucky with anybody and everybody invited into the Brooklyn Pile o' Love), Dark Angel, Yami no Matsuei, Wynonna Earp, Leverage, Inception (reading), A Series of Unfortunate Events (TV) (reading), Star Wars (reading), Star Trek: AOS (reading), The Good Place (reading), X-Men: First Class (reading)

On Hold: Saiyuki, GetBackers, The Middleman (possibly, finding the voice for this one is a nightmare), A:TLA

Past: DBSK, CSJH, Anyband, Weiss Kreuz, Fullmetal Alchemist, The Librarians, Queer as Folk (US), Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Highlander, The X-Files, Smallville, seaQuest DSV, a ton of other tiny fandoms I'm forgetting right now
Post frequency: Since falling into Yuri!!! on Ice, it has spiked from possibly five or six times a year over the past six years to at least once daily, currently. When I'm fannishly engaged, I get chatty.
Access policy: I generally grant everybody access and don't post a lot of locked content. When I do, it's usually about medical stuff that a handful of people who know me IRL and are scattered around the world would be interested in, and never anything fannish, so nobody would be missing anything interesting.

Anything else we should know about you? I have a lot of theories. Sometimes, they contradict each other. It's just one of the ways I engage with a source. I firmly believe in top/bottom switching. I cannot emphasize this enough. I have fibromyalgia, so I occasionally lose words and have to grope around for what I'm trying to say. Please bear with me if that happens. Also, I am 47, and age does seem to be a factor in the forgetfulness, these days. Probably there are other things, but, well, I forget them just now. Oh, yes, I am inclined to Unpopular Opinions. I don't intend it, it just happens.

Random Guardian

Speaking of top/bottom switching and potentially Unpopular Opinions: This fandom needs more fic where Zhao Yunlan tops.
