When I gathered all the screencaps together for this post, I was struck by how one could follow Zhao Yunlan's whole final journey from the images alone. It's all in his facial expressions and body language.
I think my favourite thing is that you can really see him noticing-thinking-scheming-planning -- and how, conversely, that means it feels so intense when he's overcome with alarm, fury, anguish, etc.
And how, in the third cap, he and Shen Wei are basically making exactly the same expression at each other. *hearts/cries*
And that tear-filled glare across the table at Ye Zun, and his clenched fists in the wide shot.
And the way he clasps the pendant in both hands when he first receive it. And ohhhh, those last two caps, omg. *is wrecked*

Seriously! There's so much there, so many different shades, his face is so expressive! (And he looks so gorgeous!)
I especially love the last one of him, holding Shen Wei's pendant at the very end, in that alley with the Lantern. *sniffles*
Thank you for this lovely picspam! :D
