I think it's "beast", and in the scene Chu Shuzhi is deliberately using a derogatory term, but I don't think he means it in a derogatory way. I mean, it basically happens like this:

ZYL: brings up Li Jiaqi's looks in an attempt to get Wu Tian'en to talk more about her and Huang Linqi
GCC: takes him literally and praises him for his eyesight at such distance
ZYL: snarks back about the chief of course being good at that
CSZ: makes fun of him for the whole thing by also pretending to take it literally
