I don't speak Chinese, but from what I can tell, 主人 is both "master" (as in master and servant) and "owner", and it's the word used for owning a pet/an animal, which is presumably why they're using it here. I guess the question for me is why Da Qing should want an owner - though for cats, I guess "owner" is just another word for "can-opener". *g*

Zhao Yunlan is usually someone who puts up a front a lot, and it's not that he doesn't do it as Kunlun, but he's not hiding his feelings, and that kind of earnestness just shines through, you know?
