Liveblogging Guardian (First Watch)
Hey,
china_shop recommended I post here to let people know I'm doing this!
I'm watching Guardian for the first time, and I decided to write up posts about my reactions to the show. Mostly I'm doing this because it's fun for me, but also because I read the novel first (in preparation for watching the show) and all the Guardian fans I know were like "So you've got to tell us what you think of the show after having read the novel first" (because apparently it's an uncommon thing to do? I dunno, I like reading things before watching the adaptation, but that's because I read faster than I watch TV). :)
I've watched the first two episodes thus far, and I'm remarkably unspoiled for the actual plot content of Guardian—I went into the novel itself knowing basically nothing (except for the main couple and that Shen Wei had a secret masked identity), and now am coming into the show knowing nothing beyond the novel's plot and the fact that the show's about aliens because censorship.
This is a link my post about episodes 1 and 2.
I'm watching 2-3 episodes at a time, on Wednesday and Friday nights for me (I'm in EST), and will end up writing posts about those episodes probably the following mornings. Y'all are welcome to come read those posts as I make them; I'm not going to keep posting about them here because I would feel sort of embarrassed about posting so much, but I'll swing back by when I finish to link to the whole set of posts. :)
Y'all seem like a great community, from what bits and pieces I've seen from the outside; it's great to make your acquaintance! <3
