I don’t find it too reachy! I mean, it’s in Dixing and the hierarchy’s best interests that the Regent blends in if he has to go above...and his native appearance and court apparel would totally not blend. His surface appearance does look like a pretty good/unnoticeable Haixing equivalent—“Bureaucracy Man”.
