Question: list of character names?

Does anyone know of a comprehensive list of Guardian characters (from the drama)?

(This question brought to you by my spending way too much time trawling through subtitle files because my sieve-brain can’t remember even quite significant non-main-characters’ names, let alone the actually incidental characters.)

(Also, ideally I want an annotated list, so I don't just stare confusedly at, eg, Wang Yike's name going, "Yes, but who are they?!")

I'm so desperate for a wiki since these kinds of things are so much easier when they're central and crowd-sourced, but I also don't want to be the one who MAKES the wiki. lol

I ran into this issue the other day when I tried to confirm the spelling of crow lady. I found comprehensive *looking* lists on IMDB that seemed not to list reasonably important supporting characters!

(So, I'm of no help, unfortunately, but I feel your pain!)

Aha, she was one of the characters that made me think of it! Is it Ya Qing?

Perhaps we can crowdsource something amongst ourselves...

Yep - the subs seem to vary between Yaqing and Ya Qing - I ended up asking solo for subs familiarity and she said Ya Qing was the most common spelling. I was very weirded out when she didn't appear to be listed on IMDB (unless I was really, really blind) when one-off characters are.

A crowdsourced list might not be a bad idea! It would be a useful resource for fic writers, I suspect. I'm usually not horrible with names, but between the Chinese and the inconsistent subs, we went through our first viewing talking mostly in shorthand ("Nakamaru", "crow lady", "geek boy", "the Chief" - yes, srsly), it's no wonder nothing stuck. And while I might have been extreme with my flailiness, I doubt I was the only one...

It has finally sunk in for me that Dick!Dad is Zhao Xinci; still can't remember Demon!Dad's name...

Also, wig boy. Something Zhu... and I see him in the subs all the time now, it should really start to stick.

Yeah! She's a pretty significant character!
