I definitely think so - there's not just the lollipop and the gun, both of which are very much modern-era objects Shen Wei would recognise once he woke up from his 10,000 year sleep and came to Haixing, there are also so many different things "Kunlun" said to Shen Wei back in the day! He threw around "10,000 years" and "you've already repaid it" and so on, and that and the entire way he acted towards young Shen Wei must have made SO much more sense to him the moment he thought about time travel.
(And if people can vanish into wormholes or sleep for 10,000 years under the earth, or - like that report Shen Wei mentions at one point about dark energy poisoning unmooring someone in time - letting them see visions of past and future, time travel doesn't sound all that out there, IMO!)
