claims he returned Shen Wei to glory and made him shine I kinda wonder if this is just Ye Zun being jealous and bitter that Shen Wei is able to walk around at all, much less up in Haixing where there's decent food and sunlight, etc.?
This is after the eye-healing but before the energy restructuring; one wonders what was going through his mind then. I just started a re-watch (finished episode 4) and I'm trying to pay closer attention to character motivations this time around. Not sure how well I'm doing because frankly I'm absolute pants at that sort of thing, but I'm trying. Would love it if someone (else) weighed in on that, tho. Yay!
