Thanks for laying this out so clearly! The gist of this was my main takeaway from both the first, much harder translation in the subs and the "I don't love easily" that's (AFAIK) there now, but the nuances are very interesting.

I generally read them as not together yet by that point, but the more nuanced translation makes a scenario where they are but it's still Complicated more interesting to me too.
