Guardian Primer/Starter Pack

First of all, hi everybody! It's so great to be in an active fandom with an active DW presence!

So I was at Wiscon two weeks ago, and so many people discovered Guardian over that weekend that I ended up fielding a lot of questions about it. So, I wrote a primer that briefly explains what it is and how/where to watch it. I kinda think of it as a starter pack. I thought it might be helpful to others who are getting similar questions from their friends!

Hello Guardian fandom! I am so happy to find this comm, I'd almost forgotten what a proper active Dreamwidth fandom even looked like. I've just watched the show and I am in love with it and am ready to roll around in all the fic and meta and discussion now <3.

I've posted some brief thoughts after watching the whole thing over on my DW, and there's a few other short episode reaction posts under my Guardian tag there too.

English Guardian Fic Masterlist: June Update

Back in April I shared a spreadsheet of all Guardian fics actually in English at the time. Six weeks and one fandom exchange later, here is the updated version:

Some numbers for the curious:

On April 24th the full spreadsheet contained 604 stories. Today the count is 713. (Or at least I think it is! Please let me know if you find any stories missing or duplicated, or if any of the remaining ones happen to be in a language other than English.) This should be compared with the 1738 Guardian stories listed as English on AO3. If anyone wants to see the full list of of that fic, it is available in a separate tab, with the non-English fic clearly marked.

And about Yuletide eligibility, the current version of the spreadsheet has 519 stories of 1k words or over. (Yuletide fandoms must have fewer than 1000 fics over 1k words.)
