Yeah, I think this is the first time Zhao Yunlan has seen Shen Wei in aggressively-protective mode like this - he'll see more during the blindness arc - and he doesn't quite get it yet here.
Totally agreed about the future visions - I wonder if they ever tried to deliberately induce this kind of black energy corruption, after they knew it could have this effect?
